Chief Operating Officer at Namos Solutions

Richard Clayton has extensive work experience in various roles and positions. Richard started their career as a Computer System Engineer at B Mason in 2002, where they designed and implemented manufacturing systems resulting in significant productivity gains. From 2008 to 2014, they worked at the University of Birmingham, initially as a Business Systems Specialist, designing and delivering HR and Payroll system solutions. Richard then became the Bespoke Sustenance Team Manager, heading live system support and coordinating critical incidents. In 2017, they assumed the role of Head of Application Management, overseeing business analysis, quality assurance, and application operations. In 2018, Clayton took on the responsibility of leading the ERP cutover. Richard joined Namos Solutions in 2020 and served as the Higher Education Practice Lead, offering quality assurance for solutions implemented at HE clients. Later, they became the Managed Services Director, ensuring excellent Oracle support for customers. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Operating Officer at Namos Solutions.

Richard Clayton pursued their higher education at the University of Birmingham, where they completed a degree in Computer Systems Engineering from 2002 to 2005. In addition to their degree, Richard has obtained several certifications over the years. Richard became certified in Oracle Cloud Project Management by Oracle in November 2020, achieved the Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) credential from Scrum Alliance in May 2020, and accomplished the Oracle Autonomous Database Cloud 2019 Certified Specialist designation from Oracle in April 2020. Additionally, Richard obtained the ITIL Expert certification from PeopleCert in December 2017. Prior to that, they obtained various ITIL Intermediate certifications including Service Design, Service Transition, Continual Service Improvement, and Operational Support and Analysis between 2016 and 2017. Richard also holds a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification from APMG International acquired in April 2016. Finally, they received the ITIL v3 Foundation certification from EXIN in June 2010 and the Prince 2 Foundation certification from APMG International in May 2010.
