Linda Lee

First Vice Chair at NANA

Piquk Linda Lee is a director from Shungnak who has served on the NANA board since 2004. She served as chair from 2015 to 2022. She was elected first vice-chair in 2022.

In addition to her NANA board duties, Piquk serves as secretary of the Iñupiaq Language Commission, trustee of the NANA Elders’ Settlement Trust, and council member of the Native Village of Shungnak. She is also a member of the Northwest Arctic Leadership Team.

Piquk previously served as president of the Native Village of Shungnak and as an on-call postmaster.

In addition to her responsibilities at NANA, she serves as secretary of the Iñupiaq Language Commission (ILC), a trustee of the Robert Aqqaluk Newlin Sr. Memorial Trust, and a trustee of the NANA Elders’ Settlement Trust. She is also a member of the Northwest Arctic Borough Joint School Construction and Maintenance Committee.

Lee is the former president and current council member of the Native Village of Shungnak and serves her village as an on-call postmistress for United States Postal Service (USPS).
