Nellie A. Sheldon

Nayuk Nellie Sheldon is a director from Ambler and has served multiple terms on the NANA board, totaling over 30 years.

Nayuk makes her living as an Iñupiaq artist, utilizing the traditional basket-making skills she learned as a child, and as a bilingual aide for the Northwest Arctic Borough School District.

In addition to her NANA board duties, Nayuk serves on the Ambler Traditional Council and Ambler Friends Church Ministry. She formerly worked as the Ambler postmaster and as a community health aide for Maniilaq Association. She previously served as a council member and secretary/treasurer for the City of Ambler and council member of the Ivisaappaat Traditional Council.
