Nellie A. Sheldon

Nayuk Nellie Sheldon is a NANA Regional Corporation, Inc. (NANA), director from Ambler and has served multiple terms on the board for 29 years.

Sheldon makes her living as an Iñupiaq artist by utilizing the traditional basket making skills she learned as a child and as a Bilingual Aide for the Northwest Arctic Borough School District.

In addition to her duties at NANA, Sheldon further serves her community as a council member and secretary/treasurer for the City of Ambler. She previously worked as the Ambler postmaster for the United States Postal Service (USPS) and a community health aide for Maniilaq Association. She previously served as a council member for the Ivisaappaat Traditional Council.
