Natalie Barnett, PhD has an extensive work history in the field of sleep and neurogenetics. Natalie currently works as the VP of Clinical Research at Nanit, where they oversee research efforts. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Clinical Research at Nanit and as a Sleep/Research Consultant. Before joining Nanit, they founded and served as the CEO of Seven Oaks Sleep Science, where they provided sleep advice to families and established infant sleep programs. Natalie also lectured on infant sleep to women with post-partum depression. Natalie's career includes roles as a Senior Pediatric Sleep Consultant at Dreamteam Baby and as a Research Assistant Professor and Instructor at NYU School of Medicine, where they conducted clinical research on lysosomal storage disorders. Natalie also worked as an Instructor at the University of New England, teaching quantitative and molecular genetics.
Natalie Barnett, PhD, has a diverse educational background spanning various fields of study. In 1991, they completed their Bachelor of Science degree at The University of Western Australia. Four years later, in 1995, they pursued further academic achievements at the University of New England (AU), where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Genetics in 1999. In 2003, Natalie expanded their knowledge by obtaining a Graduate Certificate in Bioethics and Medical Humanities from New York University. Moreover, in 2007, they enrolled at The University of Western Australia once again, this time completing a Graduate Certificate in Pediatric Sleep Science from the School of Medicine in 2008.
