Richard F. Simmerman

Richard F. Simmerman has a wealth of experience in the scientific field. Starting in 2004, they worked as a Research Technician and NSF-IGERT Predoctoral Fellow in Sustainable Technology through Advanced Interdisciplinary Research at the University of Tennessee. From 2015 to 2018, they were employed at Potomac Affinity Proteins as a Research Scientist and Postdoctoral Fellow. During this time, they iteratively engineered, produced, optimized purification of, and characterized over 300 constructs. In 2018, they became a Technical Sales Specialist in Protein Biology and Biomarker Development and Validated Assays at Thermo Fisher Scientific. In 2019, they moved to Synthego Corporation as a Senior Account Specialist and worked to enable researchers to harness the power of genome editing. In 2020, they joined Gemini Bio as a Field Application Specialist, enabling researchers with the Moxi line of instruments. Most recently, in 2021, they became a Technical Sales Specialist at NanoCellect Biomedical, Inc., covering the WOLF and WOLF G2 Cell Sorters and cartridge-based multi-color FACS.

Richard F. Simmerman received their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biochemistry and Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Tennessee in 2015. Richard F. also holds a Master of Science (MS) in Biochemistry and Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in the same field from the same institution. Richard F. also has a Certificate of Sustainable Energy from the University of Tennessee.
