Rui Tang

Rui Tang has a diverse work experience. From 2021 to present, they have been working as a Machine Learning Engineer and Research Engineer at NanoCellect Biomedical, Inc. From 2019 to 2021, they were a Technology Development Engineer Intern at BD. From 2017 to 2019, they were a Graduate Student Researcher at University of California, San Diego - Jacobs School of Engineering. From 2017 to present, they were a Part-time Student Researcher at University of California, San Diego - School of Medicine. From 2017 to 2019, they were a Summer Research Internship at UC San Diego Jacobs School of Engineering. From 2016 to 2017, they were a Research Assistant at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. From 2015 to 2016, they were a Summer Trainee at Gtech Services (Hong Kong) Ltd.

Rui Tang has a comprehensive education history. In 2011, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) & Business Administration (B.B.A.) from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, with a major in Electrical Engineering & Human Resources Management. From 2016 to 2018, they earned a Master of Science (M.S.) in Electrical and Computer Engineering (Medical Devices & Systems) from UC San Diego. Rui is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in the same field from UC San Diego and is expected to complete it in 2022. Additionally, they have obtained five certifications from Coursera, including AI for Medical Diagnosis (2021), Deep Neural Networks with PyTorch (2020), Python Data Structures (2019), Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization (2017), and Neural Networks and Deep Learning (2017).
