CARRIE JAMES

Senior Scientist at nanoComposix

Carrie James has worked as a Senior Scientist at nanoComposix since May 2016. Prior to that, they were a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California, San Diego from June 2015 to May 2016. During their time at UCSD, they focused on the development of peptide nucleic acid-based nanomaterials for genetic interference in live cells, utilizing their expertise in polymeric PNA-based nanomaterials that they had developed and published on during their graduate work.

Carrie James pursued higher education starting from 1997 to 2002 when they completed their Bachelor's Degree in Animal Sciences from the University of Arkansas. Continuing their academic journey, they obtained another Bachelor's Degree, this time in Organic Chemistry, from Brooklyn College from 2006 to 2008. Finally, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Organic Chemistry from UC San Diego, a span of time from 2008 to 2015.
