Douglas Harris has a long and successful career in the medical and healthcare industry. Douglas began their career in 1993 at BD, where they held various Sales, Marketing and Distribution Management roles. In 1996 they were promoted to Director of Distributor Sales and Marketing, developing and implementing divisional marketing and sales distribution strategies. In 1997 they became President of Greiner Bio One North America, Inc., where they started the USA organization and built sales to approximately $70 million. In 2005 they joined the American Red Cross Board of Directors. In 2008 they joined KrisDLH Enterprises, Inc. as a Sales & Marketing Executive. In 2010 they became Vice President of North American Sales at Meridian BioScience Corporation, launching new molecular solutions and placing more than 600 new customers in the first 18 months. In 2012 they became CEO of Nanodetection Technology, where they developed a novel, sensitive, rapid, easy-to-use and cost-effective point-of-care in vitro diagnostic test platform system for potentially lethal pathogens, DNA and biomarkers.

Douglas Harris attended Bearden High School and then University of Tennessee, Knoxville from 1969 to 1973.
