Chris Mann

Principal Scientist at Nanohmics

Chris Mann has been working in the scientific field since 2001. Chris started as a Researcher at ReyTech Corp., where they studied carbon nanotubes for structural and electronic applications. In 2006, they became a Research Assistant at the University of Oregon, where they demonstrated a previously unobserved photovoltaic effect in a class of organic semiconductor devices. In 2008, they moved to the University of Texas at Austin, where they were a Research Assistant, Teaching Assistant, and IGERT Trainee in Atomic and Molecular Imaging of Interfaces and Defects. In 2012, they became a Materials and Nanodevices Consultant at Xidex Corporation, where they were an active participant in the preparation of federal grant proposals and developed commercial electrical probe manufacturing technology. Finally, in 2013, they became a Principal Scientist at Nanohmics. In addition to their scientific work, they have also done freelance 3D Graphics.

Chris Mann obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Physics, Chemistry, and Math from the University of Oregon between 2004 and 2008. Following this, they attended The University of Texas at Austin and received a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Materials Science & Engineering in 2013.
