Osher Shapira

Osher Shapira serves as a General Partner at Awz, a Canadian-Israeli venture capital firm specializing in AI-based, deep-tech, cybersecurity, and intelligence technologies. Shapira holds multiple directorial roles, including Venture Partner at Octopus Systems, where innovative data intelligence software platforms are developed, Director of Strategic Partnerships at 101 Therapeutics, which is advancing a revolutionary drug for treating infectious diseases, and Director positions at Nanopass Technologies Ltd., NanoLock Security, and Cervello | Rail Cybersecurity. Previously, Shapira was Head of Dual-use Technologies Department and Deputy CTO at the Directorate of Defense Research & Development and served as a Research and Development Officer in the Israeli Air Force. Shapira earned a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology and completed executive education programs at Tel-Aviv University and the University of California, Irvine.
