Cathy Munro, CPA, CA has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Cathy currently serves as the Manager of Finance at Nanometrics Seismic Monitoring Solutions since September 2018. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Manager of Corporate Risk at the same company for a few months.

Before joining Nanometrics, Cathy worked as a Financial Advisor at Ottawa Sports and Entertainment Group (OSEG) from January 2017 to April 2017. At OSEG, they assisted the Finance department with year-end audit preparations and improving accounting functions, in addition to providing financial advice.

From January 2016 to September 2016, Cathy served as a Senior Financial Analyst at Standard Innovation Corporation (SIC). While covering a maternity leave position, they issued financial reports, prepared for audits, interacted with auditors, and worked on various special projects.

Prior to SIC, Cathy spent over a decade at Nunasi Corporation, starting in February 2003. Cathy held the position of VP Finance & Operations and provided financial oversight for numerous subsidiaries and investments. Cathy'sresponsibilities included interacting with auditors, preparing year-end financial reports and budgets, ensuring GAAP compliance, and reporting financial status to the respective Boards of the subsidiaries.

Cathy's early career included working as a Comptroller for the YK Inn Group of Companies from June 1993 to January 2003. During this time, they managed accounting and prepared year-end audit files for multiple related companies, including direct responsibility for four of them. Cathy also interacted with auditors during this role.

Cathy Munro, CPA, CA began their education journey by completing their high school education at DJSS. From 1986 to 1990, they attended Eastern Mennonite University and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting and Business. Following this, they pursued further education at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta, where they obtained their Chartered Accountant qualification in 1993.
