Dylan Carson

Dylan Carson has a diverse background in engineering and testing roles. Dylan is currently a Manufacturing Test Engineer at Nanometrics Seismic Monitoring Solutions, where they collaborate with R&D engineers to improve earthquake detection systems. Dylan designs test procedures and develops mechanical parts using CAD programs.

Prior to this, Dylan worked at Obotics Inc. as a Research and Development Engineering Team Lead, where they designed and tested electromechanical technologies. Dylan also served as a Research and Development Engineer, optimizing electrical efficiency and conducting product life testing.

Additionally, Dylan has experience as a PADI Divemaster at Utila Dive Centre, where they organized and supervised recreational diving activities. Dylan has also worked as a Manufacturing and Reliability Engineer at Trillium Health Care Products, improving process reliability and reducing scrap rates.

Dylan's previous roles include being a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant at Queen's University, where they instructed laboratory sessions, conducted research on electromechanical systems, and validated microcontroller instrumentation. Dylan also served as the Safety and Regulations Manager for the Queen's University Fuel Cell Team, ensuring compliance with safety standards and training team members on workshop safety practices.

Earlier in their career, Dylan worked as a Mechanical Engineering Summer Student at the Board of Governors of Exhibition Place. Dylan also used data acquisition systems to monitor vehicle condition.

Dylan Carson completed their education in Mechanical Engineering. Dylan obtained their Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc) degree from Queens University in 2013 and later pursued a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree from Queen's University from 2013 to 2015.
