Angad Garg

Senior Scientist at NanoMosaic

Angad Garg has extensive work experience in the field of scientific research. Angad began their career in 2015 at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where they held the positions of Postdoctoral Researcher and later Senior Research Scientist. In these roles, they made significant contributions to the understanding of gene regulation and RNA processing. Angad conducted genetic screens, identified new regulators of RNA processing through whole-genome sequencing and variant analysis, and performed structural modeling and functional characterization of candidate proteins. Angad also discovered gene regulation by a long non-coding RNA and determined the essential promoter elements required for its transcription. Additionally, they solved the atomic structure of a transcription factor DNA binding domain bound to its DNA sites. In 2023, Angad joined NanoMosaic Inc. as a Senior Scientist, further expanding their expertise in the field.

Angad Garg completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Biomedical Sciences from Delhi University, where they studied from 2003 to 2006. Angad then pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Biomedical Sciences from Delhi University from 2006 to 2008. Finally, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Molecular Genetics from Stony Brook University, where they studied from 2008 to 2015.
