Rui Peng

Rui Peng is a highly experienced scientist with a strong background in materials chemistry and nanomaterials. Currently serving as a Senior Scientist at NanoPattern Technologies, Inc. since September 2024, Rui previously held a similar position at GrapheneDx, where the focus was on developing a rapid diagnostic platform utilizing nanomaterial-based biosensors. Prior roles include R&D Scientist II at MilliporeSigma, responsible for product design and development, and Postdoctoral Research Associate at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, where contributions were made toward the development and characterization of new materials. Rui began the academic journey as a Research Assistant at The University of South Dakota, collaborating on numerous research projects. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Materials Chemistry and a Master's degree in Chemistry from the University of South Dakota, alongside dual Bachelor's degrees in Materials Science and Materials Engineering from Wuhan University of Science and Technology.
