Mr. Sproles joined NanoScreen as Chief Executive Officer in early 2016. During his tenure, Mr. Sproles’ focus has been on streamlining the organization while nurturing a culture of “sustainable” organic growth.

Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Mr. Sproles spent sixteen (16) years as a scientist in the fields of proteomics, genomics, and transcriptomics. His career in science led him to focus on research at small commercial laboratories, the University of Virginia, and Oregon Health Sciences University, where he has published works on the creation and implementation of global standards in transcriptomic research.

Leading Iverson Genetic Diagnostics Mr. Sproles successfully realized three consecutive years of 400% growth in revenue. He served as a thought leader and orchestrator of a study for the largest insurance provider in the world (Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services, CMS). While leading Iverson Genetic Diagnostics Mr. Sproles drafted a series of “Personalized Medicine Awareness Day” proclamations (2011-2013) issued by five state governors (Georgia, Washington, South Carolina, Ohio, and New Jersey). These proclamations and events sought to raise general awareness of the many benefits of accelerating medical science applications into mainstream medical practice.

In addition to his professional experience Mr. Sproles has served on the Board of Directors for the Swank MS Foundation, was a member of the Institute for Systems Biology (“ISB”) Associates Network, and previously served on the Advisory Board for the University of Washington School of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, and was on the general advisory board for Lake Washington School District. Mr. Sproles currently serves as class co-chairman for fundraising for his alma mater, The Citadel, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Biology from the school’s Honors Program.
