Hugo Amoedo MacHi

Hugo Amoedo Machi, PhD, is a Technical Application Specialist at NanoString Technologies, Inc. since June 2022, following a role as Sr Technical Application Scientist at Illumina from August 2019 to May 2022. Prior to that, Hugo served as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at the University of Göttingen from September 2018 to February 2019, and as a Predoctoral Research Scientist at the Research Unit - Canary University Hospital from March 2011 to March 2014, focusing on DNA Damage Response and cell cycle in humans. Hugo holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Molecular Genetics, Microbiology, and Biochemistry from the University of Göttingen (2014-2018), a Master of Science in Biological and Biomedical Sciences from Universidad de La Laguna (2011-2012), and a Bachelor of Science in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Universidad de La Laguna (2004-2010).
