Yi Cui

Yi Cui's work experience includes roles as a Senior Scientist & Tech Lead at NanoString Technologies, Inc. where they lead R&D efforts for the development of next-generation spatial biology products. They also worked as a Research Scientist at the MIT Media Lab, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, focusing on brain mapping, human cell atlas, single-cell biology, spatial multiomics, advanced bioimaging, nanomedicine, and brain & cancer research. Prior to that, they served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and the Center for Sustainable Nanotechnology. They also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Purdue University, focusing on the development and implementation of advanced optics and nanotechnology for bioengineering and translational medicine. Yi Cui's earlier experience includes roles as a Resident of Neuro-Oncology and Neurosurgery at the Department of Neurosurgery, Xiangya Hospital, Central South University, and as a Clinical Intern at The Second Xiangya Hospital, Central South University.

Yi Cui has a diverse education history. In 2011, they obtained a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Central South University, specializing in Clinical Medicine. Subsequently, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biological Engineering at Purdue University, completing their studies in 2016.
