Shulamit Levenberg

Shulamit Levenberg's work experience includes serving as an AIMBE fellow at the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering starting in 2023. In 2020, they became a member of 8400 - The Health Network. Prior to that, they were a member of the "Leadership in Academia" Program at RothchildCP in 2019. Shulamit has also held the position of Chief Scientific Advisor at Nanosynex and Aleph Farms in 2018 and 2017 respectively. From 2004 to 2020, they worked at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, where they held various roles including the Stanley and Sylvia Shirvan Chair in cancer research and life science, Professor in the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering, Director of the Schneur Center for Diabetes Research, Dean of the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering, Associate Professor, and Senior Lecturer. Shulamit was a member of the Israel National Counsel for Bioethics in 2012 and served as the President of the Israel Stem Cell Society from 2013 to 2016. Additionally, they have held visiting professor positions at Harvard University and was a research associate and postdoctoral researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Shulamit Levenberg completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Faculty of Life Sciences at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1992. Shulamit then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology at the Weizmann Institute of Science, completing it in 1999.
