Keefe Butler

Director of Built Environments at Nanotronics

Keefe Butler has a diverse work experience in the field of architecture and design. Keefe is currently serving as the Director of Built Environments at Nanotronics since October 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Principal at Studio BAD since January 2006. Other notable roles include serving as a Project Architect at Atelier Ace from May 2012 to 2014, and as an Assistant Project Architect at Matthew Baird Architects in 2011. Keefe also gained experience as a Model Maker and Junior Designer at Rogers Marvel Architects from November 2010 to February 2011, and as an Architectural Intern at Snøhetta AS in 2009. Keefe started their career at alife, where they served as a Production Manager, Project Manager, Designer, and Factotum from April 2000 to November 2005.

Keefe Butler has a Master of Architecture (MArch) degree from Parsons School of Design - The New School, which they obtained from 2007 to 2010. Prior to that, they attended the Gallatin School at NYU, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree.

In addition to their educational background, Keefe Butler holds certifications in LEED AP Building Design & Construction (BD+C) from the USGBC - National Capital Region Chapter, which they obtained in July 2016, and as a Certified Passive House Designer from the Passive House Institute, which they obtained in August 2014.
