Pratyush Rai

Chief of R&D at Nanowear

Pratyush Rai is the current Chief of R&D at Nanowear. Pratyush was previously a Research Associate at the University of Arkansas, where they obtained their Ph.D. in Biological Engineering. Their specialization is in research on flexible wearable wireless nano-sensors for biomedical application. Pratyush was also involved in the development of High-Performance Smart Textiles for Smart Phone assisted remote medical health monitoring application.

Pratyush Rai completed their PhD in Biological Engineering from the University of Arkansas. Pratyush also has an MSBME from the same school in Biomedical Engineering. Prior to that, they completed their B. Tech in Biotechnology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. Pratyush also has a certification from Rice University in Engineering Project Management by Rice University on Coursera. Additionally, they have a certification from the Delft University of Technology in Certificate of achievement. Pratyush is also a full member of Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Honor Society. Lastly, they are perusing a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute and has an edX Honor Code Certificate for Discrete Time Signals and Systems.

Pratyush Rai reports to Venk Varadan, Co-Founder & CEO. They work with John Zimmerman - Chief Medical Officer, Errol Bakker - VP, Supply Chain & Procurement, and Eric Tevault - VP, Advanced Materials.
