Emma Hill

President's Chair In Earth Sciences at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore

Emma Hill currently serves as Chair and Professor of Earth Sciences at the NTU Asian School of the Environment, a position held since September 2010. In addition, Emma is the Interim Director and Principal Investigator at the Earth Observatory of Singapore, contributing to research focused on natural disasters and climate change in Southeast Asia. Emma has held roles such as Director of Research and Strategy at Nanyang Technological University Singapore since March 2019 and has been involved with the American Geophysical Union as a member of the Council. Prior experience includes roles at Empowerment International, the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, and UNAVCO. Emma's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Geophysics from the University of Nevada, Reno, and Emma is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Energy Policy at the University of Sussex.
