Willie Koh

Willie Koh is an experienced professional in research governance and administration, currently serving as the Director of Research Integrity & Ethics at Nanyang Technological University since June 2017. In this role, Willie established a new department to enhance research compliance with international standards and mitigate institutional risks, focusing on integrity, data governance, human ethics, and animal welfare. Prior to this, Willie held key positions such as Assistant Director at the Geriatric Education and Research Institute and Assistant Director of Research at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, overseeing clinical research and administrative frameworks. With a solid background in strategic planning at A*STAR and experience as a Postdoc Research Fellow at University College London, Willie has gained recognition, including the Young Career Scientist award from the Gates Foundation. Willie's educational credentials include a PhD in Virology/Immunology from UCL and an M.Sc./B.Sc. from the National University of Singapore.
