Jean-Noël Thorel

Founder & President at NAOS

Jean-Noël Thorel is the Founder and President of NAOS. Jean-Noël was previously the Coordinatrice Ile de France for Mouvement des entrepreneurs sociaux (Mouves) from June 2017 to January 2020, where they were responsible for animating a community of 250 social entrepreneurs, developing and implementing a territorial development strategy, setting up and monitoring financial and operational partnerships, and deploying Mouves' accompaniment programs across the territory.

From April 2017 to June 2017, they were the Chef de projet for the Fondation d'entreprise BIC, where they defined the development strategy in conjunction with the Foundation's responsible party and sensitized internal stakeholders to social entrepreneurship.

From April 2015 to August 2015, they were a Chargée de Projet at Ashoka, where their mission was to identify, select, and support entrepreneurs in developing their projects. Jean-Noël's responsibilities included studying candidates' files and interviewing them to assess the feasibility, impacts, and risks of their projects; framing selected projects to define an adapted support strategy; and integrating 9 new entrepreneurs into the network.

Jean-Noël Thorel obtained their Master's degree in Développement durable from Erasmus Mundus - Sustainable Territorial Development. Jean-Noël then went on to earn their Master of Science (MSc) in Sustainable Management and International Business from IESEG - Institut d'Economie Scientifique et de Gestion. Finally, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Business/Commerce, General from the School of Management and Marketing in Warsaw. Jean-Noël is also certified in TOEIC with a score of 970/990.
