Evelyn Vega has a diverse work experience in the education field. Evelyn began their career in 2015 as an Intern English Teacher, teaching English to fourth and fifth grade students in Barcelona, Spain. Evelyn also assisted teachers with cultural activities and lesson planning during their internship.

In 2016, Evelyn worked as an Issues & Choices Teacher Intern at Aim High. Evelyn then became an ACE Senior Classroom Leader at the Napa County Office of Education, where they provided leadership in the classroom.

In 2017, Evelyn worked as a Substitute Teacher at both the Saint Helena Unified School District and the Napa Valley Unified School District. Evelyn taught various grades and subjects, networked with teachers, and implemented new teaching techniques. Evelyn also had a brief role as a Lead Teacher at Aim High during this time.

From 2017 to 2020, Evelyn served as the Leadership Academy Director at On The Move Bay Area, overseeing leadership programs. In 2018, they held multiple roles at Aim High, including Site Director and Leadership Institute Fellow. Evelyn also served as a Campus Coordinator & Student Support Specialist.

Most recently, in 2019, Evelyn became a Social Science Teacher at Napa Valley Unified School District. Overall, their work experience includes teaching, leadership, mentoring, and administrative roles in various educational organizations.

Evelyn Vega's education history begins with their enrollment at Napa High School from 2008 to 2012, where they obtained their High School degree. Afterward, they attended Occidental College from 2012 to 2016, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Spanish. During their time at Occidental College, they also participated in a study abroad program at IES Abroad in 2015, focusing on Business and Liberal Arts.

In 2018, Evelyn Vega enrolled in Reach University and completed a Single-Subject Teaching Credential in Social Sciences from 2018 to 2020. Following this, they obtained several certifications related to the teaching profession. In 2017, they acquired a 30-Day Emergency Substitute Credential from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. In 2018, they obtained a Teacher Intern Credential from the same institution. Later, in 2020, Evelyn obtained a Preliminary Single Subject Teaching Credential in Social Science. Finally, in 2021, they received a Teacher Bilingual Authorization (BCLAD) from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
