Julie Bordes

Julie Bordes is the Director of Communications & Community Relations at Napa Valley Unified School District. Julie previously served as the Director of Marketing and Public Relations at Metairie Park Country Day School from June 2015 to June 2022. In this role, they were responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligned with the school’s mission and supported its branding, internal and external communications, social media, digital asset management, publication development, media relations, graphic design, website and video creation, and photography.

Before their role at Metairie Park Country Day School, Julie was the Local Community and Governmental Affairs Director at Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce from January 2014 to October 2014. In this role, they were responsible for creating an annual strategy and communicating business priorities to political leaders to further business growth, address local concerns, and promote message buy-in. Julie also evaluated and monitored the local political and business climate, developed strategies for problem resolution, and provided guidance and helped craft strategy for the Chairman of the Transportation Coalition and Local Governmental Affairs Subcommittee. Additionally, Julie partnered with the Alabama Department of Transportation in various efforts to improve access, including building the case for a new I-10 Mobile Bay bridge. Lastly, they planned major events such as the State of the City and Country Event and others centered around elections; attracted record attendance.

Julie Bordes holds a Masters in Business Administration from Spring Hill College, a B.S. in International Business and a Minor in Economics from Spring Hill College, and a Certificate in Social Media Marketing from Cornell University. Julie also has a Supported B.S. in International Business from Saint Louis University - Madrid Campus.

They work with Vera Morales - Executive & Board Assistant, Rob Mangewala - Assistant Superintendent, Business Services, and Patricia Andry-Jennings - Assistant Superintendent. Their manager is Rosanna Mucetti, Superintendent.
