Megan Heimbigner

IT User Support Technician--senior at Napa Valley Unified School District

Megan Heimbigner has a diverse work experience in the field of technology and education. Megan started their career at Isla Vista Youth Projects as an After-School Program Counselor, where they took care of a group of elementary school students, helping them with homework and designing lesson plans. Megan then moved on to the Boys and Girls Club of Napa Valley, where they served as a Kindergarten Coordinator and later as a Youth Technology Program Specialist, managing and implementing a digital curriculum for students. Currently, Megan is working at the Napa Valley Unified School District as an IT User Support Technician, providing technical support and troubleshooting networked microcomputer workstations. Megan previously held the position of an IT User Support Specialist and a Site Technology Specialist, where they installed and serviced computer hardware and software. Throughout their work experience, Megan has demonstrated their expertise in technology, instruction, and providing support to students and teachers.

Megan Heimbigner completed their Bachelor's degree in Sociology from UC Santa Barbara between 2006 and 2011. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications. In January 2019, they completed the "Learning Google Classroom 2016" certification from LinkedIn. Megan also passed the CBEST (California Basic Education Skills Test) in February 2011, administered by the State of California. Most recently, in January 2020, Megan became an "EDU Certified Amplified Admin" through Amplified IT.
