Monica Ready

Monica Ready has a strong background in education and leadership. Monica currently serves as the Director III of Curriculum, Instruction, and English Learner Services - Secondary at Napa Valley Unified School District. Prior to this, Monica was the Principal of Napa High School from 2019 to 2021 and the Principal of Harvest Magnet Middle School from 2016 to 2019. Monica also had experience as an Assistant Principal at Napa High School from 2013 to 2016 and at Harvest Middle School from 2012 to 2013. Monica began their career in education as a Teacher at Napa High School, where they worked from 2004 to 2012.

Monica Ready pursued their education in a chronological manner, starting with their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English from Pepperdine University, which they completed from 1999 to 2003. Following this, they pursued a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from Touro University California, which they completed between 2010 and 2011. Monica's most recent educational endeavor is their pursuit of a Doctor of Education (EdD) degree in Social Justice from California State University - East Bay, which they began in 2021 and is expected to complete in 2024.
