Akihiko Murai

Akihiko Murai is a Senior Research Scientist at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) since April 2015 and serves as a Visiting Associate Professor at the Nara Institute of Science and Technology concurrently. Previously, Akihiko held positions as Project Assistant Professor and Project Researcher at The University of Tokyo from March 2012 to March 2015, and was a Postdoctoral Researcher at Carnegie Mellon University and Disney Research between November 2011 and October 2011. Akihiko's career began as an Engineer at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries from April 2005 to September 2006. Akihiko earned a Ph.D. in Mechano-Informatics, specializing in Robotics and Biomechanics, from The University of Tokyo from 2006 to 2009.
