Sharla Owens

Sharla Owens currently serves as the Associate Vice President for Development at Naropa University, a position held since October 2022. Previous roles include Regional Chief Development Officer at the American Red Cross of Oklahoma, Executive Director of the Tulsa Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy, and Director of Mission Advancement at Volunteers of America Oklahoma. Sharla Owens has also been involved with Phoenix Rising Alternative School Foundation as a board member and has held leadership positions at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oklahoma, the Philbrook Museum of Art, and the Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art. Educational background includes a BA in Art with a focus on Fine Arts, Non-profit Management, and Japanese from Oklahoma City University, along with studies at Tulsa Community College.
