Aliaksei Vertsel

Aliaksei Vertsel has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Aliaksei began their career at ScienceSoft as a Senior Researcher from September 1999 to October 2002. Aliaksei then co-founded Status Design Buro in 2003 and held the role of co-founder until 2005. From 2006 to 2008, they worked as a Research Lead at Invention Machine.

In 2009, they joined EPAM Systems as a Research Lead until August 2010, after which they transitioned to the role of Metadata Architect until September 2016.

In 2017, Aliaksei joined FriendlyData as the Head of NLP Research and held that position until October 2018, when they moved to ServiceNow as a Senior Staff Software Engineer until November 2019.

From February 2020 to August 2022, they served as the Chief Technology Officer of Flatlogic LLC. Currently, they are the Head of Research at Narrative BI, a position they have held since July 2022.

Aliaksei Vertsel obtained their Master's degree in Modern Information Technologies, Databases, and GUI Design from the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics. Aliaksei pursued this degree from the year 2000 to 2003. Prior to that, from 1994 to 1999, they completed their Master's degree at Minsk State Linguistic University. During this period, they focused on studying English, German, International Affairs, Culture Studies, and Linguistics.
