Ashkan Jasour

Robotics Technologist at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory

Ashkan Jasour is a Robotics Technologist at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory since October 2021, following a role as a Research Scientist at Massachusetts Institute of Technology from September 2016 to October 2021. Previously, Ashkan served as a Postdoctoral Associate in the Model-based Embedded and Robotic Systems Group at the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL). From 2010 to August 2016, Ashkan was a Research Assistant at The Pennsylvania State University, focusing on stochastic dynamical systems, probabilistic optimization, and control design. Earlier experiences include internships and research roles at ANSYS, University of Science and Technology, TU, and Gostar Pazhoh Research Company, along with teaching assistant positions in various engineering courses. Ashkan holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics from Penn State University and a postdoctoral associate degree in Robotics from MIT.
