Christian Smart

Christian Smart is a Senior Programmatic Risk Analyst at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory since March 2023. Previously, Christian served as Chief Scientist at Galorath Federal from July 2017 to March 2023, focusing on technical excellence and expertise in cost risk analysis and machine learning. Prior roles include Director of Cost Analytics and Parametric Estimating at Missile Defense Agency, managing a 100-person team, and various key positions at SAIC and MCR, including Program Manager and Technical Manager. Christian holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Applied Mathematics from The University of Alabama in Huntsville, and has also completed graduate studies in Computer Science with a focus on Machine Learning at Georgia Institute of Technology, alongside a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Economics from Jacksonville State University.
