Dr. Michael Lisano is an accomplished aerospace engineer with extensive experience at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory since June 2011, serving in key roles including Project Systems Engineer and Engineering Technical Authority for the NASA ISRO NISAR Mission. Notable contributions include leadership positions as Launch/Cruise Phase Lead for the NASA InSight Mission to Mars and Deputy Project Systems Engineer for the same mission. Previously, Dr. Lisano held various roles at Jet Propulsion Laboratory from 2001 to 2011, including Supervisor of the Orbiter Mission Systems Engineering Group and EDL Simulation Team Chief for the 2007 Phoenix Mars Mission. Earlier experience includes a Senior GN&C Engineer role at NASA Johnson Space Center and staff engineering positions focused on GPS applications for space missions. Dr. Lisano holds a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and advanced degrees from Auburn University in the same field.
