Guy Beutelschies is a seasoned aerospace professional with an extensive background in planetary science and space exploration. Currently serving as the Planetary Science Assistant Director for Programs at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory since June 2020, Beutelschies has also held key roles such as Deputy Campaign Program Manager and Lander Project Manager for the Mars Sample Return mission. Prior to this, Beutelschies spent over 16 years at Lockheed Martin, where responsibilities included Vice President of Communication Satellite Solutions and Director of Space Exploration Systems. Beutelschies began a career in aerospace at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory as a Systems Engineer, following an educational background in aerospace engineering with a Master of Science from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Colorado Boulder.
