Psyche Multispectral Imager Instrument Systems Engineer at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory

Haley Bates-Tarasewicz is an accomplished systems engineer at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, specializing in the Psyche mission since September 2019. As the lead systems engineer for the Psyche Multispectral Imager, significant contributions include overseeing the Payload Verification and Validation (V&V) campaign and managing requirement verification at multiple levels. Additional roles on the Psyche mission involved supporting downlink and data management teams, as well as assisting with V&V for all mission payload instruments. Earlier experiences include an internship focused on automating data analysis for the Curiosity Mars rover and conducting research with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where involvement included exoplanet spectroscopy analysis and telescope automation. Haley holds both Bachelor's degrees in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering and Planetary Astronomy and Science, along with a minor in Creative Writing from MIT.
