Simon Collins has over three decades of experience in aerospace engineering, primarily at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory since April 1994. Currently serving as the Deputy Instrument Manager for the REASON Radar on the Europa Clipper mission, Collins has held various significant roles, including Mission Assurance Manager for the Asteroid Redirect Robotic Mission and Product Delivery Manager for the NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar project. Previous positions include JPL Science and Operations Support Manager for the Aquarius Project and Instrument Manager for both the ISS-RapidScat and Aquarius projects. Simon's early career involved a role as a Research Assistant at the Nationaal Lucht- en Ruimtevaartlaboratorium. Academically, Collins holds a Ph.D. and Master's degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a Space Studies Program certification from the International Space University, and a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Toronto.
