Alejandro Rodriguez is a seasoned photonics engineer with extensive experience in developing optical components for spaceflight at NASA since August 2020, after previously holding a similar role at Stinger Ghaffarian Technologies from July 2017 to August 2020. Prior to that, Alejandro managed product support for microscopy instruments at Thorlabs and served as a field applications engineer at KLA-Tencor, where responsibilities included application development and project management for Intel. Alejandro began a career in research as a graduate student at UC Irvine, culminating in a PhD in Physical Chemistry. Earlier experiences include teaching physics and mathematics at Colegio Ecológico Bilingüe San Martín and directing educational programs at Guided Discoveries. Alejandro holds a BS in Physics from Universidad de Costa Rica and has a background in nuclear science.
