Researcher at NASA

Autumn W. is currently a researcher at NASA, where the 2024 Rhode Island Space Grant funds a project focused on developing Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES) technology for space suits. In addition, Autumn serves as a research team lead at Brown Emergency Medicine, directing a scoping review of first aid educational resources for low- and middle-income countries while also conducting training in Rwanda. As a Mama Glow fellow, Autumn leads a mindfulness webinar series aimed at reducing healthcare burnout among doulas and caretakers. With active involvement at Brown University in various capacities, including advisory roles and as a senior interviewer, Autumn has also gained experience as a medical assistant at Diamante Skin Care and developed leadership skills through ROTC in the United States Air Force. Academic credentials include pursuing Bachelor's degrees in Contemplative Studies and Air Science from Brown University and Worcester Polytechnic Institute, respectively.
