Leighton Quon

Leighton Quon is the current Project Manager for Airspace Technology Demonstrations at NASA. Leighton has over 25 years of experience as an engineer, including working as a supervisor and aviation subject matter expert at NASA Ames Research Center. Leighton has also worked as a consultant to airport management and as a lead simulation engineer on various projects. In their current role, they are responsible for managing airspace technology demonstrations at NASA.

Leighton Quon attended the University of California, Berkeley where they earned their Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Leighton then attended the University of California, Berkeley again to earn their Master of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineer with a focus on Transportation Engineer.

Leighton Quon reports to Akbar Sultan, Director, Airspace Operations and Safety Program. Leighton Quon works with John Koelling - Project Manager, System-Wide Safety, Cheryl Quinn - Deputy Director, Airspace Operations and Safety Program, and Ron Johnson - Project Manager, UAS Traffic Management. A direct report to Leighton Quon is and Mike Madson - Deputy PM, ATD.
