Megan Person

Megan Person is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in both public and private sectors. Currently serving as the Director of Communications & Legislative Affairs at NASA Armstrong since February 2021, Megan leads a team dedicated to showcasing NASA's aeronautics research. Prior roles include Chief Communications Officer for Kern County, where responsibilities encompassed enhancing organizational transparency and public engagement, and Owner of Person 2 Person Communications, providing freelance writing and communication strategy consulting. Previously, Megan held various communication-related positions at State Farm, United Way of Kern County, and Kaiser Permanente, alongside teaching as an Adjunct Instructor at Bakersfield College. Megan holds a Master of Science in Organizational Communication from Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Arts in Business/Corporate Communications from California State University, Bakersfield.
