Michael Holt

Michael Holt is an experienced mechanical engineer specializing in composites and thermal materials, dedicated to helping aerospace companies address complex material application challenges. They worked as a Materials Engineer at Lockheed Martin from 2003 to 2016, followed by roles as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Virgin Galactic and Lead Engineer at Virgin Orbit. Currently, Michael co-chairs the Structures Committee on Standards at AIAA and serves as a Materials Engineer at NASA. Their extensive background includes developing and qualifying hardware for launch vehicles, aircraft, and spacecraft, as well as successfully creating multiple new material systems for extreme environments.
