Millennia Young is a Statistics and Data Science Lead at NASA’s Human Health and Performance, where they apply over a decade of expertise in statistics and data science to enhance the health and safety of astronauts. They hold a PhD in Statistics from Rice University and have previously served as a postdoctoral researcher in genetic epidemiology at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, and as a biostatistician and lead modeler for the Integrated Medical Model at Wyle Integrated Science and Engineering Group. Millennia actively collaborates with multidisciplinary teams and external partners, contributing to numerous publications on critical health issues faced by space travelers. Currently, they are pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics and a Master of Science in Applied Statistics at the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
