Mitchell Gosma

Mitchell Gosma is currently a Graduate Pathways Intern and NASA Space Technology Research Fellow at NASA, focusing on the pyrolysis and ablation of high-temperature materials for spacecraft re-entry applications. As a Doctoral Candidate at the Center for Hypersonics and Entry Systems Studies, Mitchell has also held roles as a Graduate Researcher at Sandia National Laboratories and as an intern at various organizations including State Farm, Spirit AeroSystems, and Brunswick Corporation. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and a Graduate Certificate in Energy and Sustainability Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, alongside a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and an Associate degree in Engineering Science from College of DuPage.
