Sharon Jefferies is an experienced aerospace engineer at NASA, where responsibilities include the analysis and integration of systems and operations concepts for human spaceflight missions since July 2006. In addition to this role, Sharon serves as a Senior Technologist in the Office of the Chief Technologist at NASA Headquarters, focusing on technologies pertinent to Human Spaceflight Missions. Prior to joining NASA, Sharon worked as a Research Aerospace Engineer at Virginia Tech from January 2005 to June 2006 and held the position of Graduate Research Assistant. Earlier career experience includes serving as an Aviation Officer in the US Army from June 1995 to March 2004. Sharon Jefferies earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, graduated in 1995.
