Beatrice Wamey is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in leadership, training, and educational development. Currently serving as President and CEO of Nascent Solutions since September 2004, Wamey collaborates with the Board of Directors on organizational strategy and operations, while managing partnerships and fundraising efforts. Previous roles include Training Specialist at the Foreign Service Institute and the World Bank Group, where Wamey conducted needs assessments and developed training curricula for diverse educational programs globally. Academic contributions include serving as an Adjunct Professor at Indiana University Bloomington and an Instructor at the University of Yaoundé, specializing in linguistics and instructional theory. Wamey holds a PhD in Instructional Systems Technology from Indiana University Bloomington, a Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics from Southern Illinois University, and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Yaoundé.

Nascent Solutions is an international development and humanitarian nonprofit based in Alexandria, Virginia, USA. Our mission is to alleviate poverty in rural Africa by helping poor and vulnerable people achieve self-sufficiency. We do this by building the capacity of women and youth, empowering them with the skills and tools that will help them create opportunities for themselves, their communities, and countries. With operations in Cameroon, Zambia, and Uganda, we have the field capacity to engage with local communities and implement donor-funded programs.
