Tony Sio is the Head of Regulatory Strategy and Innovation at Nasdaq’s Anti-Financial Crime division, where they define regulatory strategy and ensure service offerings stay ahead of regulatory and technology trends. With over 20 years of experience in financial technology and surveillance practices globally, Tony formerly served as Head of Marketplace Regulatory Technology at Nasdaq, overseeing the Market Surveillance (SMARTS) solution used by numerous marketplaces and regulators. Tony has also lectured on IT Enabled Financial Analytics at RoZetta and held key roles at Macquarie Group and SMARTS Group International. They hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Finance and are currently pursuing further education at UNSW.
