Katherine Walsh

Regional SEND Leader For South Central England And Northwest London For Whole School SEND at nasen

Katherine Walsh currently serves as the Director of Inclusion at River Learning Trust since September 2021 and is also the Regional SEND Leader for South Central England and Northwest London for Whole School SEND at nasen since July 2018. In these roles, Katherine is responsible for fostering relationships across 27 Local Authorities to enhance outcomes for children and young people with SEND, supporting school leaders in effective provision, and integrating SEND priorities into school improvement plans. Katherine has experience as an EEF Project Director for a SEND Review, leading a randomized control trial across 160 secondary schools. Previous positions include Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion at Brookfield Primary School, Special Education Coordinator and Autism Teacher at District of Columbia Public Schools, and various roles related to special education at Southfields Community College and Summit Speech School. Katherine holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from The College of New Jersey and a National SENCo qualification in Leadership and Management in Special and Inclusive Education from the University of Roehampton.
