Amna Osman

Amna Osman has extensive work experience in executive leadership roles. Amna is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Nashville CARES since April 2019. Prior to this, they held the position of President at Osman Consulting since July 2013. Amna also served as the President and CEO of HAVEN Oakland County from 2016 to 2018. Amna has a strong background in public health management, serving as the Division Director at the Michigan Department of Community Health from 2008 to 2013. Before that, they worked as an International Consultant at UNIDO in 2008-2009. Amna also has experience as an Executive Director at Wellness AIDS Services, Inc from 2000 to 2008, where they provided executive leadership and direction for the agency's operations. Amna Osman has demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, program management, fiscal management, and organizational development.

Amna Osman's education history begins with their Bachelor's degree in Psychology from The American University in Cairo, which they obtained from 1991 to 1993. Following this, they pursued their Bachelor's degree in Psychology once again at United States International University - Africa from 1993 to 1995. Amna later attended Wayne State University from 1998 to 2000, where they earned their Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Counseling. In 2004, Amna Osman pursued a Master's degree in Public Administration at the University of Michigan, which they completed in 2005. Amna then attended Michigan State University from 2009 to 2012, where they completed the Great Lakes Leadership Academy program. Finally, they attended Antioch University for their PhD Program in Leadership and Change, which they completed in 2020.
