Ember Tharpe

Ember Tharpe is a knowledgeable program specialist at Nashville Public Library since March 2024, with a diverse background in various educational and cultural institutions. Prior experience includes serving as a senior associate at Alkebu-Lan Images: African-American Bookstore from October 2021 to March 2024, and as a writing fellow at OZ Arts Nashville from September 2022 to June 2023. Additional roles include public programs intern at the Museum of the African Diaspora, education and interpretations intern at Frist Art Museum, and undergraduate admissions assistant at Vanderbilt University, where Ember Tharpe earned a bachelor's degree in American/United States Studies/Civilization in December 2021. Ember Tharpe also gained public policy experience as an intern at National Innovation Service from July 2020 to April 2021.
